I just go "yes that is me" to so much of it, and I really can't even say how encouraging that has been every time someone says "No you cannot be autistic because [whatever]". I am sorry about your dad. Dad-hats are awesome.

I’m glad my writing can do that for you.  One reason I started writing was because other people’s writing had done that for me, and because my experience as an autistic person seemed somewhat under-represented in autistic people’s writing.  And thanks about the dad-hats.
