Anonymous asked: I was just asking (about the diagnoses) because I was curious. I primarily followed you for autism related stuff and ableism talks but I found you through psychotic bloggers, so I thought it was possible that I just missed it.

Ohhh okay.  Sorry I’m just sensitive about it because I have some cyberbullies who like to use my schizophrenia diagnoses as “proof” I’m not autistic, and they’re the ones who put that on the webpage you read.  But yeah.  The closest thing I’ve experienced to psychosis is delirium.  In particular, there were two weeks of a much longer delirium during a pneumonia hospitalization, where I actually heard voices and had delusions in a way that is very similar to schizophrenia.  But that happened over a decade after that misdiagnosis had come and gone.  It gave me much more insight into what psychosis must be like, but I still haven’t experienced the real thing.  I have friends who have, though.

Anyway, sorry again.  I’m out of sorts today.
