Imagine that you have been the primary caregiver for your child or children and then someone who has never seen you interact with your children, who has never entered the home you run decides that you are not as able to take care of your children as your spouse.

Disability and Discrimination in Custody Battles

This makes it even more maddening that the woman who now claims to have coined ‘neurodiversity’ (there’s some debate about that… she used to be unsure whether she coined it or whether the word was just 'out there’ at the time, these days she says she coined it for sure) started a group that, among other things, campaigns for court systems to discriminate against autistic parents.  (That’s autistic people who are parents, not parents of autistic people.)  And then claims that anyone who opposes her just doesn’t want to see autism’s bad side.  It’s like FAAAS all over again, only it’s children of (presumed) autistic parents instead of spouses of (presumed) autistic spouses.  (None of this is new, it just continues to make me mad.)
