Tagging trigger warnings and such

eaglestrike replied to your post: feliscorvus replied to your post: Annn…

Would it be possible for you tag mentions of [redacted so I don’t have to tag it]?? Sorry ;A;

I normally do.

Like, 99% of the time I tag that, and lots of other things.

However if you can’t handle that 1% of the time, I’m going to screw up with tagging and trigger warnings in tags, then you might want to be careful reading my blog.  And I’m not saying this with any malice, it’s just that as I’ve warned people before, I’m not great with this and I do mess up at it and if that’s a problem then you might want to be careful about reading me.  Because I can’t magically make myself better at tagging these things.

I removed the mention of the thing you wanted me to tag for, in your comment above, so that you could read this even if you’re avoiding the tag, because I think it’s important.  I am not 100% at tagging, I’m probably not even 99%, and I understand that this is a problem, but it’s not one within my ability to overcome by willpower alone, even though I do put a lot of willpower into it because it’s important.

Generally what I try to do is I’ll both tag the thing alone, and then also, if it’s something that seems sufficiently likely to trigger people or if I’ve been asked, tag tw: (whatever the tag is).  Please nobody tell me to do it some other way, I can barely do it this way.  But even if I’m asked, it doesn’t mean I’ll remember, especially if it’s not something I ordinarily think of as triggering to a lot of people.  But I won’t even remember widely-triggering things some of the time, especially if I’m tired like I was when I wrote the post you’re replying to.

So yes, I will try, in fact I was already tagging that topic ALWAYS.  It’s just that I can’t do ALWAYS, not really.  Not even when I’m trying as hard as I can.  And that’s nobody’s fault, but it may make some people incompatible with me as readers.
