Yeah :< I have similar problems with my insurance. They keep deciding they just don’t feel like covering things even if they did previously. They randomly decide some things are otc (and arent) a lot.
Yeah. Medicare does the thing where my meds get randomly covered and not-covered too, and sometimes I have to switch to some other med that’s roughly equivalent to whatever med they just dropped. I will never understand their logic.
I especially don’t understand why they have seemed especially focused on denying me the one medication that I absolutely can’t live without, literally. It’s not that they deny it outright, but that they won’t fill it often enough, even when the doctor explicitly writes into the script that I’m allowed to vary the dosage a certain amount, and sometimes even when I’m staying within the most conservative dosage to begin with. And since missing any amount of dexamethasone rapidly becomes life-threatening, this seems particularly sadistic of them. Like, I don’t make cortisol, they couldn’t find enough cortisol in my body to measure, or enough ACTH to measure, it has to be replaced or I die, and now that I am on dexamethasone my body has stopped even the miniscule amount of cortisol it was probably making before and I really can’t go without it at all for any length of time, how hard is this to understand?
