(This is not as big a deal as it sounds.) Also my feeding tube site started bleeding today for no apparent reason.

Like first it was hurting, and I thought it was just gas.  And then I saw blood on my shirt, and there was blood coming out of the stoma.  I don’t think it was a serious bleed, because there was no blood in my bile (meaning it wasn’t blood from that part of my stomach that keeps bleeding), and it just looked like blood looks when it’s a superficial bleed.  I think something must have irritated the stoma site itself and caused slight bleeding, but I’m not sure what.  I taped up the tube so it wouldn’t pull out too far, and it hasn’t bled any more since.  It feels like moving the tube is a little too easy, though so I think something must have widened the opening again, like happened when I almost pulled it out.  But I couldn’t find any sign of it actually pulling out like before, so I don’t know.

(Please nobody email me with advice.  This is less of a big deal than it sounds.  I just put the disclaimer at the top as well because someone freaked out and thought I was dying.  I’m not dying, I just bled a tiny bit.  I have very minor stomach bleeding as a matter of course – my gastroenterologist doesn’t think it’s a big enough deal to even scope me or anything, it’s from an injury when my tube pulled out last year – and sometimes the stoma site gets irritated and bleeds a bit as well.)
