I used to think guinea pigs were funny looking but then I looked up a video of them and they are so squeaky and fluffy

They sound as cute as they look.  I swear they were designed by some kind of anime artist for cuteness level.  Like they aren’t actually my favorite animal, but I think they may be the cutest animals I’ve ever seen or heard in my entire life, and everything I learn about them makes them even cuter.

The constant stream of squeaks! The way they popcorn around! Their fidgety movements!

When they’re just happy in their cage, they quietly mutter to themselves. It’s a really quiet little “oo-oo-oo” and when you look they’re usually just walking along slowly, sniffing the floor of the cage as they go. And they’re none of them the same temperament/personality, either. And sometimes if you’re lucky you’ll have one who chirps. They sound just like birds when they do it but they don’t do it very often. I have three who do. Out of four currently in my house. And best is when they’re really comfortable during laptime because they pancake. You wouldn’t think a fuzz-butt that round could get that flat, but they do. Sleeping is creepy, though cuz they do it with their eyes open. During their siestas I will sometimes watch each one carefully to make sure they’re all still breathing. :P
