Sometimes I sing, usually just syllables but sometimes actual songs with words.  In this case, the seemingly nonsense word marona repeated over and over, which is a word I coined that has a specific, sacred meaning to me.  Marona can be found in the redwood forest where I was born, it may in fact be possible to be found anywhere.  But I find it most readily in that redwood forest, saturated with realness, wholeness, a sense of absolute home, a sense of absolute and total belonging and “this is how it should be”.  That’s what Marona means to me.  Only it means lots of things there are no words for, which is why I made a word for it.  I’ve been able to convey its meaning to others that have experienced it, but not as well to others who haven’t.  :-/  It’s one of those “there should be a word for this but isn’t” words and somehow the syllables marona popped into my head, and they were perfect, so I kept them.

Pardon my rusty voice, I don’t use it much, given that I’m nonspeaking and generally only say things like “uh-huh” and “uh-uh” and “aaaaaaagh” and “meh”.  I don’t even sing much anymore.  The tune was spontaneous and probably borrowed from a million things I’m not aware of.
