imaginaryfriendwithbenefits asked: Re the nonverbal communication tests, I don't have a diagnosis of autism or anything like that but I do have symptoms that overlap and consider myself a 'cousin', and what I tended to find was... I knew what the faces meant, but it took me a while to translate that into an emotion that had a word? I would think something super-specific, like, "oh he looks like he was [insert situation here]" rather than just "he looks sad". Is that like, a thing?

Yeah, that sounds very much like how I would approach it, anyway.
