I think my big problem with the way some people do online social justice is that it makes your worth dependent on how you fight, not who you are.

It’s like “How well do you stand against all these *isms? How much do you call out? If you stop, did you let everyone know it was for your mental health?”

Rather than “Hi. How are you? Who are you? What do you like?”

It makes your worth dependent on what you bring to the fight by being loud, not what you bring to the world by being you.

And that’s… intensely wrong.
