Update.

Been sick for the last two weeks or so. It wasn’t life-threatening or anything, we just don’t really enjoy using social media when we’re sick and prefer stuff like lying around watching MST3K on Youtube. Just want to let everyone know what’s going on with us.

Our cat’s diagnosis is still “we don’t know what’s going on here.” At this point, the specialist we took her to is being cautiously optimistic, and thinks it may be either a very rare form of lymphoma that is relatively easy to treat (one piece of good news is that she does NOT have large cell lymphoma, which is one of the most difficult kinds to treat), or bartonella infection, which can cause massive inflammation of the lymph nodes. We’re still waiting to hear back from the lab they sent the test results to (they’ve got some more sophisticated equipment than the local clinic where three doctors went over the lymph node biopsy and had no idea what was going on there).

Meanwhile, the vet bills continue to pile up. :\ It was $680 for the tests at our regular vet clinic, $800 for the first round of tests at the specialty clinic and $250 for the second round. So we’re still accepting donations and even just a little bit helps. If we can even just make up the cost of one of those bills, it would be great.

It’s good to see you again, although I’ve been out of touch too with the aseptic meningitis thing, so I didn’t totally know you were missing.
