I was going to get bookplates for my autistic authors collection and some other books that I want to mark as definitively mine. But I rapidly found out bookplates are far too expensive per book given how many books I have. Instead, I found a book embosser that cost $40 and will emboss as many books as I could possibly want to emboss. It has the Tree of Knowledge at the middle, “Ex Libris” at the top, and “Amelia Evelyn Voicy Baggs” at the bottom. And I’m quite satisfied with it. Of course it all depends if you mind permanently marking up your books or not, but I don’t mind in this case because I’m trying to mark them as definitively mine, definitively part of a specific collection at that. And I can’t afford to do that with bookplates when I have literally hundreds of books I either have or am planning to get.
