Drift

Close back
Underneath your eyes
It splits you in half
You don’t have to be split
But you wouldn’t know that
Not in the state you’re in
You can’t see out
And that’s okay
You don’t need to understand
You just need to rest your brain
Another day, another brain cell
Will find its way back into place
You feel like you’re winding in circles
You can’t find something
Something important
But you don’t need to find anything
You’re perfectly found
You’re right where you need to be
Right now
Try to remember
The things your brain tells you
Are scattered and flung
To the edges of the earth
But they are not as important
As resting your brain
And letting it do its thing
Even if it makes no sense
Your mind is going to drift
To places that confuse it
Just let it drift
And don’t try to solve the riddles
That have no solutions
