I still can’t believe I got meningitis.

Like it’s one of those things you hear about people getting on the news, but you never think of yourself as getting it.  

Now that I’m home and in a familiar environment, I can tell it’s Done Things to my brain.  I mean, it’s not at all the same as what bacterial meningitis would’ve done (sending me things about bacterial meningitis as if it’s the same thing won’t help, I had aseptic meningitis as a result of IVIG infusion and it’s very different).  But clearly it’s had an effect on my brain, because I can tell things are not working that really tought to be working.
