Anonymous asked: What are your preferred pronouns? I'm sorry if this is something you've answered a million times--for some reason I'm having trouble finding it. I pretty regularly want to mention/recommend your blog to people who are interested in or could stand to learn more about disability issues/rights and I want to make sure I'm talking about you accurately/respectfully/in the terminology you would most prefer.

Sie/hir/hirs/hirself: Absolute favorites.

Ze/zer/zem/zemself and xe/xyr/xem/xemself: Okay to use

Them etc.:  Okay to use.

Anything else: Okay to use.

I make allowances for people who are incapable of dealing with neologisms, including unusual pronouns.  But sie/hir is absolutely my favorite.

And my gender is genderless.  As in, I have no gender, not that I have a gender that happens to be called genderless.  I’m not androgynous or “somewhere in the middle”, I lack gender identity altogether.  (I understand that some people define gender in a way other than gender identity.  But most people have a gender identity, whether they are cis or trans.  And I lack a gender identity.  And that’s important.)
