This is all for me of course, anyone else’s answer may be different.
So visual snow, for me, looks like a television set on static (if you can remember back when TV sets had static instead of a blue screen) only in every possible color, not just black and white.
Auditory snow can sound a little like white noise, but also can sound like my ears ringing at certain frequencies.
Tactile snow feels like something brushing lightly on my skin, or like light prickly sensations on my skin, all of these things very light. (I do get more intense paresthesias, but the ones I’d call ‘snow’ are like very light touch.) It’s hard to describe the one I’m the most familiar with, almost like when your arm is waking up from being asleep, but less intense. (Again, there’s a more intense version, but I’m concentrating on things that are merely annoying or distracting, not painful.)
I’ve been told my visual snow may be part of a constant migraine aura.
