There’s also the thing where non-disabled kids are treated like automatic role models for disabled kids. (Especially kids with developmental disabilities.) Like the only reason we’re disabled is that it hasn’t occurred to us to not be.

And like…

Kids *with* disabilities can also help kids without. Help doesn’t need to be one way.

And kids with disabilities have real abilities and stuff they’re good at. They can be inspiring like everyone else, by their actual good qualities, not for things like existing while disabled or putting up with abuse.
