Anonymous asked: Do you know good tags to track on Tumblr for chronic pain / fatigue / illness? Or alternatively, major blogs for the spoonie community (if spoonie is the right word idk)? I'm looking for tips on living with chronic illness, but also a place where I could ask questions.

#spoonie

#spoonies

#chronic illness

#chronic pain

#chronic fatigue

#chronic fatigue syndrome

#CFS

I don’t track all of those tags, but I’ve tracked or read some of them before, and they might be what you’re looking for.  If you have specific chronic illnesses, you might want to try those, too.

Now that tumblr doesn’t let you search tags, I do it all in the URL bar by going:

http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/name-of-tag-here

Where name-of-tag-here can be any name of a tag. Use a dash for a space (as I’ve done above), if you need one.  And then you can click on “track this tag” once you’ve gotten to the tag.

Sometimes there will be a big difference between two tags that are almost identical.  For instance, I remember there being a big difference between #spoonie and #spoonies, but I don’t remember which one got more traffic, so I’ve included both.  I think #spoonie was the better one, but I honestly don’t remember, it’s been so long since I’ve deliberately read either one of them.  (I get the same confusion between #tubie and #tubies, as well as #feeding tube and #feeding tubes.  I know one in each pair is more used, but I have to go look every time, to figure out which one it is.)
