And because I know this exists, too…

…this is a shout-out to all the teenagers and younger kids out there, who really did do “dumb” things “to get attention” because they couldn’t find any other way to get attention.

Because nobody deserves to be treated like crap for being a member of a social species, and wanting attention, even if you have to (to use an actual example from a book by an autistic guy) pick the place in the gym with the best fart acoustics and fart as loud as you can, to get it.

And nobody deserves to be a member of a social species who is so lacking in attention in their life that they’d be driven to grossing out their entire gym team in order to get that attention.

Because, to most members of social species, getting attention from other members of your species is life or death, and feels like life or death.
