Are you okay? I’m here if you need to talk

Oh yes I’m fine.  Thank you.  When I said I was seeking attention, I didn’t mean that I was seeking it urgently because of something bad.  I was just making the point that every time most people post something on tumblr, unless we’re doing it just as a purely internal exercise (which happens, I’m sure), then we’re probably seeking attention.  Yet attention-seeking behavior is widely, on tumblr, regarded as a bad thing.  Even though everyone, with every post, is engaging in attention-seeking behavior.  So I was just trying to point out the irony there.

Right now I am not feeling perfect – a little dehydrated, bit of a headache, brain still not right from meningitis – but I’m feeling pretty good, and pretty happy, overall.  Tumblr is, however, my main place that I socialize, so pretty much any post I make here is an attempt to seek attention, whether from one person or from many.  I also use it for other reasons than seeking attention, but like most people, my primary reason for using social networking is to socialize, and socializing is attention-seeking.  I just don’t see anything wrong with this kind of attention-seeking, or most kinds, really.

(I do know of methods of seeking attention that really do harm people, but they’re much rarer than people would have you imagine.)
