Kim Stagliano’s autistic daughters

Reminder that Gianna Stagliano is 18 and her parents have made it so she never will have adult rights, just like they did to her sister Mia in 2012. Bella will have her rights signed away by her parents in 2018.

Reminder that this is not unusual and could have happened to me, had my mother realized the possibility before I had already become an adult.

A psychologist told my parents it was really important for my safety that I be put under guardianship. I’m extremely lucky my parents weren’t interested in going through with it.

A psychologist told me I flat out wasn’t an adult and would never have adult rights.  He told me he would manipulate my parents into having me do whatever he wanted me to do.  I think he would have pushed for guardianship if circumstances hadn’t taken me away from him (he threw a monumental fit on the phone to my parents when they let me move out on my own, and told him I wouldn’t be seeing him anymore).

  21. chavisory said: In one recent thing I read by her, I think concerning Gianna, it was so apparent that that girl is competent. For which Kim punishes her by taking away her means of communication. It’s frightening. I so angry at what’s happening to those girls.
