I think I want to get back to cycling as basic transportation, and then I’m not so sure with the way a lot of people drive.
Luckily, the guy apparently only got some bruises. The car driver tried to blame the collision completely on him, but the insurance company was not amused when they got pointed to the helmet cam video with what really happened.
This was actually very close to where we live. I am very, very familiar with that stretch of road and used to ride it at least several days a week. The traffic was surprisingly light when this happened. Mr. C ran across this video and shared it because it was so nearby.
Wow, that was… very clearly not the cyclist’s fault. Wow.
