Honestly I wish everyone had a g-tube just to be able to drain out fluid, it's so much easier than the alternatives are.  You can also, if you feel really nauseated and the cause is too much stuff in your stomach, just drain it all out through the tube and flush it down the toilet and half the time you don’t even have to throw up.

You can drain either into a drainage bag, or manually drain into a cup (or straight into the toilet if you don’t mind leaning over it).  They all have their pros and cons.

  1. fullyarticulatedgoldskeleton said: Yeah, that’s why I thought of it: I go through Tums so fast and can’t always buy more, and then the only way to relieve the heartburn is to throw up. Which happens whether I want it to or not.
