I think I am going to try NaNoWriMo this year.

I have a character that I desperately want to write.  It’s more writing the character than writing the story, the story would come entirely from the character.  And I think NaNoWriMo may provide me the discipline and structure necessary to write something that long.  I really don’t normally have the self-discipline for anything longer than an essay, and I haven’t written much fiction in years.  But this character has to be fictional, for lots of very good reasons, and the story has to center around hir character, rather than centering around a plot.
