You know what you should be able to do online? Make doctor appointments.

Do you know how much more likely I’d be able to go to doctors that way?!

I get so angry because most of the doctors I see if you go to the website they have a “make appointment…

Use zocdoc. You actually book and confirm online.

That doesn’t seem very useful if you aren’t looking for a new doctor or have something hard to treat.

also I just plugged in my insurance + Boston and a bunch of things were greyed out on the list. Like neurology as a whole is greyed out there is no neurologists in Boston i could see that use email apparently.

Like it’s nice that site exists, but none of my doctors are on it. I can’t just get new doctors because the normal small town kind have told me that me and my multiple complicated health conditions aren’t welcome there.

I’m really lucky that my local hospital has this whole online thing where you can email your doctors with questions, get prescriptions set up appointments, and all kinds of other things.  It’s called MyHealthOnline and it’s really cool.  I wish everyone had that.  It’s completely changed my ability to have any control over healthcare.  Because I can’t use telephones, so until I got this, I had to rely on other people to send messages to doctors offices for me, and same with script refills and stuff.  Now I can just click a bunch of buttons and get what I need the majority of the time.
