I was just wanting to say something about oversimplification/encouraged ignorance in a particular context that I was reminded of. And thought better of it again, because I feel like shit already today and really do NOT need people automatically jumping down my throat when they’re apparently not even trying to understand what I am even talking about, just reacting to certain keywords and seeing what they’re expecting to see—based on that exact oversimplification of history.

Some patterns are very predictable by now. That doesn’t make it easier to deal with, just more exasperating and demoralizing.

Also having to remind myself again that the benefits continue to outweigh the aggro on this site. :-| Not only a continuing problem on Tumblr, but definitely here.
