Yeah that’s probably how they see it themselves. 

It doesn’t look protective to me. It looks like she’s unaware that you’re a person and that you’re also there.

  1. rutdeleu said: To me it looks…smug. I don’t know if smug is quite the right word. I don’t know if it is exactly arrogance + being pleased with oneself. But smug is the closest word I have. And this is so common. And I just immediately recognize it as Creepy.

  5. karalianne said: I can sort of see what you mean, but I’ve also been “staffed” (i.e., been treated as a “client” by someone who was staff but not there to be staff) and that really changes your perspective.
