My parents also sent this poncho which really brings back memories.  I think it belonged to my mother.  And I don’t think I’ve actually seen it worn since I was maybe three years old.  It is knit and looks like it will be great as the weather gets colder. I love things that are frozen in time as far as my memory goes, because they’re sort of a portal back to that moment in time.
