artisticautistic asked: There was something you said in your post about how the police treated you that was wrong, "white DFAB people have nothing to fear from the police, generally," that's piss all wrong. I might not have to worry about getting killed by a cop but I have a friend who was sexually assaulted by a cop and another whose relative was a cop and got sent to jail for raping a woman (potentially 3) in his squadcar. Cops are fucking terrifying to me, it's not just pocs that have a reason to be scared.

I meant we have overall (as a group, not as individuals) less reason to be scared, not that we have none.  I’ve had really horrible experiences with cops myself, including some that may have done permanent physical damage.  And generally the more kinds of oppression we’re dealing with, the more we have to be scared of with cops.  But everyone should be scared of cops on some level, just because of the power they wield and the way they wield it.
