Northern California earthquake
6.0/6.1 magnitude at 3:30 AM this morning. Centered in the Napa area. I am significantly further south than that (nearer to San Jose) and didn’t even feel it. Slept right through. Everyone in this area is fine, still waiting for some folks I know further north to check in. But wanted to post here in case youneedacat heard about the quake and was worried. (I think hir parents are outside the main impact region too, but hopefully they are okay regardless..)
I don’t tend to worry overmuch about earthquakes, unless they’re right near the epicenter of something huge. Maybe I’m too under-worried, but it’s very Californian to not really worry about earthquakes except inasfar as someone is right in the middle of something awful.
