disabilityinkidlit:

Given that disabled protagonist and queer protagonists are hard to find, it’s no surprise that protagonists who are both queer and disabled are even more rare. We wanted to highlight a couple of YA novels that do feature these characters …

Six YA novels featuring queer disabled protagonists:

Passenger by Andrew Smith
Otherbound by Corinne Duyvis
The Shattering by Karen Healey
Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Levithan
Fat Angie by e.E. Charlton-Trujillo
Far From You by Tess Sharpe

We have not yet had a chance to review any of these at Disability in Kidlit, and we’d love to hear more about them. Have you read any of these? Share your thoughts!
