Finals are stressful and overwhelming and there’s so much to get done in such a short amount of time. You might even pull an all nighter. And to assist you in this difficult time, you plan on taking Ritalin or some other pill for ADHD that wasn’t prescribed to you.

What the hell happened to just taking NoDoz?

Not that that’s the greatest idea either (my only attempt at it left me completely unable to study, or do anything else for that matter), but at least it doesn’t get in the way of people with ADHD.  (Of course, at the same time that I was taking NoDoz, my friend with ADHD was teaching people to snort his Ritalin so he could get extra cash to support his own drug habits.  But that’s not how it normally goes, at all.  And no, I never snorted or otherwise took Ritalin except when it was prescribed to me, and then  I only took it as prescribed.  It scared me too much, among other things.  And for good reason, given how my body reacted to it.)
