I think I’m wrong about Cassie.
She’s pretty great in important ways.
I’m glad. I was thinking I must be wrong because you didn’t like her, and I liked her so much that my head is filling with random headcanon about her. Not important headcanon. Just the stuff your mind fills up with to fill in the details when you like a character.
I think one of the most important things about her is that she so far, at least, doesn’t lose track of who she is and what her values are. She may be wrong, she may be too indecisive and passive at times, but she tries really hard to do right by people, including the animals she rescues.
I also feel like there’s something similar about her and Tobias and I can’t put my finger on it. It’s not just about morphing. It’s something about conscience. But that’s as far as my brain will go to explain itself. :-/ And that’s not very far.
I also identify very strongly with both Tobias and Cassie, but especially Cassie. Again, I’ve only read through book four.

withasmoothroundstone reblogged this from madeofpatterns and added:Not really, just that I’d only read three of the books and you’d read the entire series, so I thought you knew something...
