It really irritates me when people say lolita fashion is sexual because

You could literally wear a skirt past your knees and people will still insist that it’s for turning on men

No matter what you do, what you wear, people are going to think it’s for men

it’s the NAME that sets people off. If it were called “Strawberry Shortcake fashion” nobody would say a word. At least in the US, the word “Lolita” has certain connotations that include child molestation and kinky sex. Right or wrong, that’s why.

If people spent five seconds on a lolita fashion blog instead of having a knee-jerk reaction to a word, they’d see tons of nonsexual images of girls showing off their coords for the benefit of other girls

And most people who keep insisting it’s sexual HAVE seen the blogs, and HAVE had it explained to them, and keep insisting anyway.
