Because even if you limit this to the non-literal usages of the word it makes no fucking sense.

So basically I’m required to be always cheerful, never in the slightest bit incredulous, and always 100% polite, even in the face of questions that I can’t even tell if they’re trolling or not, or else I deserve to be told “fuck you”.  And all this after I’ve just described the effect of stress on my life at the moment.  (Hint:  Stress + adrenal insufficiency = bad bad bad.)

This person definitely brought out the grumpy stick in me.
