This is my new tube. I feel bad for the old one.  I always wish I could keep them somehow.  They feel like old friends, even the ones who don’t last long.  And every new one feels like getting to know someone new. The doctor saw that I’d put some silicone tape to reinforce part of the old tube, and he gave me this Look and said, “Are you a customizer?  Tell me the truth:  Do you have a low rider car?  Or a heavily customized Harley somewhere?  I’d better not show you anything more about these tubes, you might try to customize them.” I think he’s trying to show a sense of humor.  He’s hard to read.
