The Halloween aesthetic I like best
…is the one where you have this old old house where everything looks all dark and cobwebby and there might be skeletons dressed in velvet and marcasite and the house has been there so long it has no trace of human tragedy left, and maybe feral cats and bats have moved in and basically all the night-things know they can go hang out there and it’ll be cool.
I am not a fan of anything with garish inflatable decorations, though.
