Today’s kitchen-science first
I made apple dumplings (cored & peeled whole apples, stuffed with cinnamon sugar and butter and wrapped in pastry dough) and they exploded.
Notes for next time: poke small holes so they can vent. (However, the trapped steam left the apples really fluffy. So I’ll make a pair and only vent one of them. For Science.)
