Lets try and list how many doctors I have gone through in 3 years because I can’t remember

• PCP #1 (gave up immediately, refused to test for things)

• dermatologist (gave up because dermotologists are not really able to treat multi-system genetic illnesses)

• neurologist #1 (would not allow me to make an appointment)
  
  
• rheumatologist #1 (I ran these test but idk try someone else)
  
  
• gastroenterologist #1 (we ran tests but idk what is wrong)
  
  
• pain clinic #1 (would not allow me to make an appointment)
• pain clinic #2 (tried a bunch of things but they didn’t work, insurance dropped them, by that point they were on “mindful based thinking” as pain treatment give me a break)

• neurologist #2 (after two visits decided I had fibro with no testing and told me “call me if anything changes” aka “I am not going to treat you find someone else”)
  
  
• PCP #2 (you have fibro so I am cancelling all treatment and tests)
• neurologist #3 (I cannot see you because you are being treated by neurologist #2 and that isn’t allowed)
  
  
• PCP #3 (I don’t know what to do with any of this, so tell me, but I am going to turn down your suggestions)

• rheumatologist #2 (well you have mito so it’s not fibro idk what to tell you then)
  
  
• gastroenterologist #2 (I got one visit then my insurance cut him too)
  
  
• pulmonologist (I got one visit then my insurance cut him too)

• pain clinic #3 (well if you don’t want to try lyrica there’s nothing I can do)

• sleep doctor? (yeah you have tried literally every sleep treatment sorry)
  
  
• pain clinic #4 (you should get some help for mental issues we can’t help you here)

• cardiologist (we ran test everything seems ok)

• PCP #4 (left randomly without any warning?)

so that leaves me with for doctors:

PCP #5

neurologist #4

mito doctor

Mito doctor is currently yelling at insurance to cover shit so I can go back to the other doctors that were helpful but cut. The gastroenterologist especially is important if not apparent from my 9 zillion posts about how awful my stomach has been lately.

but yeah here is a summery of how many doctors gave up on trying to help me in the past three years.

It’s something people don’t even consider in medical care. It doesn’t matter if you can go to the doctor or not if when you get there the doctor won’t treat you.
