I am very interested in the biological reasons for why certain aspects of my perception, cognition, movement, etc. are the way they are.

That’s a really common reason people enter this field. I just wish the people trying to answer these questions weren’t explicitly doing it because they want to make there not be more people like me.

And I need to figure out where to draw the lines on who I will and won’t work with. I don’t want to, but it’s probably unavoidable. If I don’t do it early, it will be far worse later.
