Yes, a lot of autistic people do. At least, from what I’ve seen. It can be one manifestation of a tendency to like to put things in order, have things neat and easily categorized.
I don’t, though. In fact, I can’t. I’m the complete opposite of that. But then, autistic people tend towards both extremes, on any question like this, it’s the middle ground we don’t tend to do well at.
