And the reason winter is a big deal.

For those living in comfortable climates or cities where there’s a really good system to take care of winter stuff.

Is that people in the mountains have to do all the winter stuff themselves.

And for someone with myasthenia gravis (which if she has, I also have), which makes your muscles weaken with every use, that’s a huge big fucking deal when you’re trying to chop firewood and shovel snow and stuff.

So when I say we’re all scared of the winter, it’s not a metaphor.  It’s plain, stark reality.   All of us are scared of what the winter will bring.
