VERY recommended.
content warning: family dealing with DEMENTIA. my father hangs out every week with my nana who has dementia and i think he felt like it was pretty real how they portrayed that part of the story. like really the difficult details…
plus you get to see amazing Olivia Colman and John Simm as siblings. and the whole inter-tangled subplot with his old friend is very interesting with a lot of grey areas…
overall wonderful and sometimes heartbreaking, with good mystery side to it, too.
How is the dementia stuff? I have several relatives with it, and have known many non-relatives with it, and it’s a very touchy subject for me. As in, can be incredibly triggering for me to see people written off as unpersons. But I can watch things that show people being written off as unpersons as long as the show makes clear that this is the wrong way to treat people. How does it do in that regard?
