Maybe participating.

I am definitely participating, for the first time.  I’ll talk a little about my book in the next post so I won’t tie up this one with a long description.

For some reason I have an extremely optimistic feeling about this.  Not about writing books in general, but about writing this particular book, right now.  It feels like, if this book is going to happen at all, this is how it is going to start: with a rough draft created during NaNoWriMo 2014.  

I am hoping that the stress with my family situation not only won’t hurt it, but will actually help me write it.  Because I’ve found structure essential to dealing with the combined stresses of my father’s terminal cancer and my mother’s myasthenia gravis/autonomic dysfunction/pulmonary hypertension/etc.  Anything I do that’s structured, from physical therapy to Coursera to crochet, helps me cope.  So I’m hopinng NaNoWriMo will help as well.
