So those strips at the top are the sutures where they actually cut into my arm.  And now there’s this giant bruise forming beneath the area where they cut into my arm.  Is this sort of thing normal for a muscle biopsy?

So those strips at the top are the sutures where they actually cut into my arm.  And now there’s this giant bruise forming beneath the area where they cut into my arm.  Is this sort of thing normal for a muscle biopsy?

  1. feliscorvus said: Yeah, that still looks normal for basically anything involving having muscle cut into. I’ll look and see if I have any gross hand pictures that might be useful (but will email them rather than post here).
  2. lizardtitties said: When I got a contraceptive implant put in, I ended up with a similar bruise below the wound, so I imagine it’s normal.

  4. guapet said: i’ve had problems with that kind of bruising. my bc implant bruised inches away from the insertion, and my angiogram tube wound bruised down to nearly my knee. my laparoscopy bruised my whole belly. couldn’t say why, but my doctors seemed to worry.
