they have glamor. and seem important and like they’re the guardians of righteousness and authenticity

but they’re actually just loud and mean

and a problem it’s damn hard to talk about

Yes it is.

It’s also hard to talk about it when people don’t know the difference between charisma (which can’t necessarily be helped, only managed) and glamour (which is generally deliberately generated on some level even if not consciously). Charisma makes people more likely to listen to you, which is unfair, but not always your fault unless you are deliberately manipulating people with it. I have charisma and I can’t just turn it off. But I don’t have glamour because I don’t project an overlay image over myself to fool people into thinking I am something I’m not. But people with glamour, boy can they do things I can’t and would never want to do that scare me.
